Giornalista che lavora in forma stabile all’interno della redazione di una testata giornalistica.
- Il redattore di una testata rilegge e corregge gli articoli dei colleghi, titola i pezzi, elabora i sommari, scrive le didascalie per foto e immagini, collabora nella scelta e collocazione delle stesse immagini e all’impaginazione.
- Il redattore deve applicare le norme della lingua italiana in modo rigoroso, qualora non siano state rispettate nell’articolo che sta revisionando.

COPY EDITOR SUB(-EDITOR)
- Copy editors are expected to ensure that the text flows, that it is sensible, fair, and accurate, and that all legal problems have been addressed.
- In some cases the sub-editor is the only person, other than the writer, to read an entire text before publication and, for this reason, newspaper subs are considered the publication’s last line of defense.
